Slow Train

Station No. 6

Doveholt

· Meadow country

Green hills, slow rivers and a platform with one very patient bench.

The track keeps to the valley floor, where the meadows hold the last of the water. The sun stands high and the whole landscape looks washed and patient.

Doveholt is a small stop, and the train does not hurry here. The footbridge is empty, and a single pigeon inspects the timetable. A last breath of steam, a soft clunk, and the platform begins to slide backwards.

Somewhere down the carriage a page turns, and a forgotten scarf slides slowly along the luggage rack. The next stop is already on its way, and it will arrive exactly when it is meant to.

The Slow Train pulled into Doveholt at midnight UTC on 6 November 2026, rested at the platform for a minute, and carried on across meadow country. Everyone riding that day looked out of the same window.
